Supplier quality review

The member sourcing committees have the ultimate decision–making authority to award group purchasing agreements, according to Premier, Inc. policy. The Supplier Quality Program results are factors in making award decisions.

Premier’s supplier quality review (SQR) process is the first part of the Supplier Quality Program and establishes consistent standards for its contracted suppliers and prospective suppliers. The process allows Premier to review suppliers’ manufacturing and business practices using a comprehensive survey tool.

Premier’s supplier quality review process focuses on the following supplier criteria:

For Prospective suppliers

1. To register with the Product Introduction Form
     a. Go to www.premierinc.com
     b. About Premier
     c. Non-contracted suppliers
     d. Getting started
     e. Follow the instructions for submitting your company's information

2. Wait for the product category to come up for bid (see Contract Bid Calendar)
     a. New suppliers receive the SQR survey with their first Request for Information (RFI)
     Note: The survey is administered through PASSport, Premier's advanced sourcing solution

For Contracted suppliers

1. Complete the SQR process or

2. Wait for the product category to come up for bid to renew your status
    Note: The survey is administered through PASSport, Premier's advanced sourcing solution
    a. Existing suppliers receive the SQR survey with their first RFI after three years.

The survey is evaluated and a letter is sent to suppliers indicating the company's individual status of "Qualified" or "Not Qualified." This status remains intact for three years
